What's free and what's Pro?
Most of the app is free: journal, game tracking, people database, equipment, Apple Watch and resources. Pro adds the analytics dashboard and expense tracking for $2.99/month or $24.99/year, with a 14-day free trial. Pricing is the same on the App Store and Google Play.
Is Pickleball Journal+ secure?
Yes. Your journal lives on your device and is protected by its built-in security on both iPhone and Android. We don't sell your data or share it with third parties. Your stats and notes stay private.
Can I use Pickleball Journal+ on multiple devices?
Not yet. Cloud sync across devices is on our roadmap. In the meantime, iPhone users can back up to iCloud and Android users can back up to Google Drive to move data to a new device.
What if I need help using the app?
Our support team is available via email at support@pickleballjournal.com. The app is designed to be intuitive and easy to use, with clear navigation and helpful prompts throughout your journey.
How do I start tracking my games?
Simply open the app and tap the "+" button to create your first journal entry. You can record game details, add notes about your performance, attach photos or videos, and track your equipment usage all in one place.
Can I track different types of games?
Yes! You can log various session types including games, drills, lessons, and practice sessions. Each entry can include game tracking with scores, effort ratings, and detailed notes about your experience.
How does the activity tracking work?
The app provides analytics on your playing patterns including activity over time, effort ratings, and game statistics. You can view trends in your play frequency and performance through visual charts and insights.
What equipment details can I track?
You can track all your pickleball gear including paddles, shoes, balls, bags, and accessories. For each item, you can log purchase dates, costs, serial numbers, add photos, track status changes (active/inactive/damaged/sold), and see which sessions you used each piece of equipment.
Is Pickleball Journal+ available on Android?
Yes! Pickleball Journal+ is available on Google Play with the same journal, game tracking, analytics, equipment, and expense features as the iPhone app, plus Google Drive backup and Health Connect integration.
Does the app work with Apple Watch?
Yes! The companion Apple Watch app lets you quickly track games on your wrist. You can log game results, view your recent activity, and sync your data seamlessly with the iPhone app. All your Watch entries automatically appear in your main journal with full details. Apple Watch support is iPhone only.
